La Ataraxia la podríamos definir como la calma mental y emocional, una tranquilidad profunda que permite afrontar la vida con ecuanimidad, sin dejarse llevar por las fluctuaciones de las emociones negativas, y eso pretendemos ser, y desde ahí queremos trabajar, desde el compartir y no competir, y sobre todo, crear eventos que nos aporten felicidad, a nosotros y al público en general.Con estas y otras premisas nace “Ataraxia”, una promotora de conciertos con consciencia, de su entorno, de su privilegio y de los tiempos que corren.Con sede en Barcelona (España) este proyecto está formado por un pequeño grupo de personas entusiastas de la escena dark/gótica, con predilección por estilos como el dark wave, post punk, minimal, synth pop, shoegaze, EBM entre otros y que, con mucha ilusión, valores y esfuerza, pretende situar a Barcelona en el mapa de la escena musical que tanto nos gusta.Nuestros valores siempre estarán por encima de nuestros intereses.Es por eso por lo que creemos que, en estos tiempos donde parece que odiar y señalar al diferente está de moda, es importante posicionarse y decir alto y claro, que aquí no queremos ni vamos a contratar a artistas ni bandas que fomenten el odio contra ningún colectivo desfavorecido, ya sea por causas de edad, género, religión, clase social, nacionalidad o cualquier otra condición excluyente.Entrad y pasadlo bien!ATARAXIA PROMOTIONS
We could define Ataraxia as mental and emotional calm, a profound tranquility that allows one to face life with equanimity, without being carried away by the fluctuations of negative emotions. This is what we aim to be, and from this place, we want to work, from sharing rather than competing, and above all, to create events that bring happiness to us and to the general public.With these and other premises, "Ataraxia" is born—a conscious concert promoter, aware of its surroundings, its privilege, and the current times.Based in Barcelona (Spain), this project is formed by a small group of enthusiasts of the dark/gothic scene, with a predilection for styles such as dark wave, post-punk, minimal, synth-pop, shoegaze, EBM, among others.
